I recommend watching Blood Diamond as well. I was hesitant to watch it but it touched me beyond belief. I had no idea the severity of diamond mining in Africa and the child soldiers involved. So so sad. Make sure if you wear diamonds that you're wearing jewelry that is conflict-free. The fact that someone may have lost their hands or life for your engagement ring just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Summer is almost officially over. I'm more pumped then ever (minus the pale skin setting in, ick). Woop, hoodie weather! I wasted my the majority summer trying to revive a dead relationship, working at a job that is lame as shit, hating my living situation and being unhappy for the most part. It wasn't until I actually moved, (I moved into an adorable apartment all my own!) that I finally feel excited, motivated and myself again. It may be a studio apartment but I have become utterly obsessed with it and am beginning to resurface old neat freak habits and am treating it like my child. Possibly unhealthy, who cares. The past couple weeks have been so relieving because I have been able to let go of negative relationships for good, begin amazing new ones, and spend more time with old friends I have put on the back burner for too long. Schools about to start back up, but in all honesty I'm not really sure my heart is in it right now. So we'll see what I decide to do there. I'm going to spend the rest of this week trying to find a new job. That would definitely raise my spirits. I do have an idea for something I'd like to do but am going to keep it on the hush hush until I make a real decision. So get excited! Well I'm done being sort of emo. Off to do laundry, job hunt, etc etc! Tonight, if Im not mistaken, I am getting wined and dined. Be jealous.

I'm super estatic that they overturned prop 8. Not so excited that it is taking Californians so long to be able to marry freely. EQAULITY HURRY UP!!! The View Sucks Because...

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has got to be the biggest idiot ever on The View..or on TV. I think I dislike her at almost the same level as Nancy Grace. Could Elisabeth get more stupid? I was watching The View and she made a claim that women that become lesbians later in life are only doing so because they can't get a man. Seriously? Why did they choose braindead women for that show? Sigh. I've only even watched The View a total of maybe 3 times ever, and every single time I get really close to shooting myself in the ears.

Burt's Bees

I've tried the lip gloss and the toothpaste, and today I bought the pore refining mask by Burt's Bees. Its on my face right now. Its an insane cooling sensation on my face, theres peppermint in it and I can feel everything and Im loving it. It feels the way a York Peppermint Patty feels in your mouth, but on your face. This is so fun. I am a loser. Anyways, get it.

Bargain Shopping!

What started off as a day to spend studying Psychobiology & hunting for a new job turned into a day of bargain hunting around the Clifton, Ohio area. Nothing puts me in a better mood than knowing I got a handful of new goodies and didn't even spend $30! As I was currently suffering from a bad dye job from NK Salon (great haircut, awful coloring), I decided to fix it myself so I hit up CVS to grab the dye. That itself turned into buying teeth whitening, eyeliner & mascara, and face soap. Cost itself $20. On the walk home I stopped into Urban Outfitters and got the deal of a lifetime. $10 for 3 contemporary vases and lip gloss. Lets just say that although my day did not goes as planned, I am pleased with my endeavors! No need to spend a lot, always look at the sales!! Also, thank you box dye for saving my appearance :) I make a ridiculous blond.

Heat Wave Heat Wave! Everybody go to the pool!!!! I figured I would address that I have an immense tanning problem. If I had half the motivation to work, clean, and diet as I do to go to the pool, I would be the most successful lady on the planet. At least I have a hobby. Is tanning a hobby? That'd be pretty pathetic. I'll be using an SPF on my face though, dont worry. I dont want a repeat of last week's pealing bananza. I hope no one takes advice from me ever on here. USE SPF OR YOU WILL GET CANCER. TANOREXIA IS A DISEASE! Thank you, I'll be off to picnic at the pool now with my fair skinned friends. Poor Irish people and your freckles.

Justa workin on my fitness...

75 degrees, no school, no work. Pretty much can only mean one thing, going to the pool & gym. I just started trying to work out and eat healthy so get off me if I still eat Chinese all the time. I'm learning. I did though, bust out the Lean Shake that has been sitting in my pantry for about 6 months. Its not delicious, but until its gone, its my new breakfast of choice. I find it highly amusing how I wait until mid July to begin a bikini diet. That's sort of how I work though, I don't prepare for bikini season..I wait until I've seen all the fit and skinny girls at the pool before I make an attempt to be one. Better late than never!! I hear being tan makes you look a little thinner though, so I have that going for me. Thank goodness for my Indian heritage! Enough jokes, I'm serious about trying to improve my health though, so I will share with you what starts to work for me!!
On a normal workout I will do the eliptical for 30 minutes and work on arms and abs for about 10.
Im trying yogalates tonight so..I will let you know how that goes!
Now time for the 20 minute walk to the pool&gym...wahhhhh.

I Caved...

Looks like I'm a real life blogger now!! Man do I feel bad for you guys! Just kidding, I'm pretty excited to have a place to put my random thoughts, opinions and adventures at. I'll probably use this thing to vent and talk about all my latest ideas and escapades :) This will all be brought to you from the comfort of my couch. I'm not cool enough to have mobile internet access...yet. In time America, in time.

I wish I had more to tell you besides the fact that I am watching my youth come to an end by watching The Hills series finale. I really like watching the red carpet and supposedly Spencer is rolling up dressed like a hobo. We'll see. I could be cleaning my apartment or showering or something but...nope, my loyalty lies in Lauren Conrad's legacy. Sigh. I adore her, but just as soon as I was beginning to fall in love with Kristin...they end the show. Screw you MTV, you're such a tease.
